Our slings are suitable for use from birth. As with all baby carriers proper care and attention must be taken with your newborn. The upper age limit is dependent on the wearer’s ability to comfortably carry their baby’s weight. Many parents continue to use their sling beyond 3 years of age.

Absolutely, breast-feeding is so natural and simple in the Walkabout Ring Sling. Sling tail gives privacy while breastfeeding also.

Yes. Be sure to change shoulders periodically. To prevent back pain, spreed fabric across the whole back, rest fabric on the shoulder and onto the upper arm , not on you neck. Have the Sling adjusted as tightly as possible so that baby’s weight isn’t pulling you forward. Carrying in the Hip position is generally best with toddlers.

Walkabout Ring slings are versatile! They have a gathered shoulder system which allows you to wear it on both shoulder. Switching shoulder its always good but most carers will favor one side only.

We recommend washing your Ring Sling before using.  It becomes very soft and moldable and much easier to wrap with.  We recommend hand washing your ring sling with a soap/detergent that does not contain brighteners. If you do decide to use a washing machine, you may use a delicate cold cycle with similar detergent, and place a sock over your rings to avoid them from getting caught on something in your machine and air dry.

Yes. There are a few positions that help alleviate the discomfort of reflux. The sling can also be manoeuvred to personal preference & position as your baby ages.
